Microdermabrasion has been performed
successfully for years in Europe and is now one of the most popular
cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It is rapidly becoming one of the most
frequently sought after non-surgical, non-invasive skin care and renewal
treatments.
Microdermabrasion is best thought of as a
gentle buffing process for the outer epidermal layer of skin. A precise
steam of aluminum oxide crystals is directed at high speed through the
hand piece onto the skin to loosen and exfoliate the top layer of dead
cells. The crystals and exfoliated skin cells are then vacuumed away,
revealing fresh, smoother and healthier looking skin. Also as the
damaged cells are exfoliated and vacuumed away, the production of
collagen is stimulated, helping to maintain elasticity.
Microdermabrasion is safe and effective on
all skin types from light to dark, dry to oily.

USES- Microdermabrasion is a skin
rejuvenation method for the treatment of mild acne scarring, sun damage,
age spots, blemishes, uneven pigmentation, enlarged pores and
blackheads. It also softens the appearance of fine lines, thus reducing
signs of aging.
TREATMENT PROCEDURE- Treatments usually
take 20-30 minutes for the face. If the neck and hands are included,
treatments will be longer. The treatment is not painful and requires no
anesthetics. Some people have compared it to the sensation of being
licked by a cat.
POST TREATMENT- Immediately following the
treatment, the skin may feel slightly wind burned and usually has a
slightly rosy tone that fades after a day or two. The skin may also be
slightly dry for several days and should be properly cleansed and
moisturized.
RESULTS- The results are that the skin is
left looking smoother, fresher and healthier. It also enhances the
penetration of topical skin therapies.

For superior results we recommend a
